Welcome to SIWESLAB. This platform is designed to facilitate student onboarding, industrial training, SIWES management, company placements, internship supervision, assessments, attendance, evaluations, and talent pool management.

By registering for or using this Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

To use this Platform, you must be one of the following:

• Registered Student
• Institution Administrator
• Company
• Supervisor
• Platform Administrator

Users must provide accurate information during registration and keep their records updated.

3. User Accounts

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

• Keep your password secure.
• Do not share your account.
• Update your profile when necessary.
• Notify administrators if unauthorized access is suspected.

4. Student Responsibilities

Students agree to:

• Provide truthful personal and academic information.
• Upload authentic CVs and supporting documents.
• Complete onboarding assessments honestly.
• Submit only original work.
• Maintain attendance and logbooks where applicable.
• Follow company and institutional rules during placements.

5. Institution Responsibilities

Institutions using this Platform agree to:

• Monitor student participation.
• Ensure information provided is accurate.
• Use the Platform responsibly.

6. Company Responsibilities

Companies registered on this Platform agree to:

• Protect student information.
• Provide appropriate supervision.
• Evaluate students fairly.

7. Assessments

The Platform supports multiple assessment types, including:

• Technical Assessments
• Non-Technical Assessments
• Company Assessments

Students must complete assessments honestly. Any attempt to cheat, impersonate another candidate, or submit another person's work may result in failure.

8. Talent Pool

Students who successfully complete the required onboarding process and satisfy eligibility requirements may be added to the Platform's Talent Pool.

Being added to the Talent Pool does not guarantee internship placement, employment, interviews, or selection by any company.

9. Placements

Placement decisions remain the responsibility of participating companies.

• Student eligibility.
• Company requirements.
• Available internship slots.

The Platform cannot guarantee placement for every registered student.

10. User Content

Users may upload or submit information and materials through the Platform, including:

• Profile information
• CVs and professional documents
• Portfolio links
• Assessment answers
• Logbooks and internship reports
• Certificates and/or supporting documents

Users retain ownership of the content they submit. However, by submitting content, you grant SIWESLAB permission to store, process, and display such information where necessary to provide Platform services.

Users are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe on the rights of another person.

11. Prohibited Activities

Users must not use the Platform to:

• Provide false academic, personal, or professional information.
• Submit fraudulent documents.
• Impersonate another user.
• Share account credentials.
• Attempt unauthorized access to Platform systems.
• Upload malicious files or software.
• Manipulate assessment results.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.

Any violation of these rules may result in account restriction, suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform.

12. Intellectual Property

All Platform software, designs, branding, logos, interfaces, features, and original materials are owned by SIWESLAB unless otherwise stated.

Users may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or reproduce any part of the Platform without prior written permission.

User-generated content remains the property of the respective user.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate user accounts where necessary.

Reasons may include:

• Violation of these Terms of Service.
• Fraudulent activities.
• Misuse of Platform features.
• Security concerns.
• Requests from authorized institutions or administrators.

Where appropriate, users may be notified before termination and provided an opportunity to resolve the issue.

14. Limitation of Liability

While we make reasonable efforts to keep the Platform reliable and secure, we do not guarantee that:

• The Platform will always be available.
• The Platform will be completely error-free.
• Every student will receive a placement.
• Every company opportunity will result in selection.

The Platform is not responsible for decisions made by companies, institutions, supervisors, or other third parties using the Platform.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect improvements, new features, legal requirements, or changes in Platform operations.

Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted according to the applicable laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising from the use of this Platform shall be handled according to the applicable legal processes and regulations.
